Before computers and printers, professional correspondences were created using the manual typewriter. Among them, the Underwood No. 5 typewriter was the most successful design in history and set the standard for all manual typewriters that came after it. The Underwood No. 5 typewriter dominated the market for the three decades it was in production with 5 million produced and sold from 1900 to 1932.

The Ed Ladder
The Ed Ladder is a non-profit formed by educators in 2013 to assist under-served learners. This includes students who are low income, English language learners, have special needs, are in foster care or recently adopted, or are experiencing homelessness. Our tutors provide these students tutoring and mentoring on study and life skills.
