About this Story
We all love snow globes!
The history of the snow globe dates to the early 19th century. The first known snow globe was created by Viennese watchmaker Erwin Perzy in 1900, who invented a technique for suspending ground glass particles in water, creating the appearance of falling snow when shaken. The concept gained popularity quickly, and by the early 20th century, snow globes had become coveted collectibles and tourist souvenirs.
