The Pyramid of Khafre, the second-largest pyramid on the Giza Plateau, is located to the southwest of the older Pyramid of Khufu. Built by the ancient Egyptian pharaoh Khafre, the son of Khufu, around 2570 BC, this pyramid is distinguished by a section of its original white outer casing stones that it still retains at the very top.
