In college, I took an incredible class on the Vietnam War. The professor invited relatives or friends of students to share their personal experiences. My dear friend's father, Rick, came to that class and shared his experiences with us about his time in the war. It was my first time hearing firsthand from someone I knew and respected who had served, and it deeply had an impact on me. In honor of Veteran’s Day, I created this tribute for Rick.
